The introduction of business applications, ERP systems, or Microsoft 365 always has an impact on organisations and corporate culture. These challenges lie less in the technology itself and more in preparing people and the organisation for the change. Only in this way can digital solutions be successfully implemented.

Recap of the 13th Lunch@Metagon

Donat Grimm, Partner at Metagon, opened the event with an inspiring perspective on change management in transformation projects. He emphasised that the success of such projects is not solely determined by technological advancements, but is primarily dependent on the willingness to change at the organisational and human level. Change management begins even before implementation and includes clear roles, targeted communication, and training. Transformations succeed when they are actively supported and deeply embedded in the corporate culture.

Florian Haussmann, Partner at artsnext GmbH, emphasised that digitalisation only creates real business value when people are ready to change their behaviours and attitudes. Change management is not a side issue but a central component of every project, which must be planned early and properly resourced.

Christian Schipp, Chief Business Development Officer at Ambit Group, demonstrated how a successful ERP implementation is achieved through strategic preparation. He compared project methods such as the waterfall model with the more flexible agile approach and noted that often a hybrid approach is the most effective solution. For success, it is not only technological solutions that matter but, above all, the people and the underlying processes.
